Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
In a large bowl, mix the pumpkin puree, maple syrup, melted butter, brown sugar, and egg until smooth.
In another bowl, whisk together the whole wheat flour, baking powder, cinnamon, and salt.
Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, stirring gently until just combined.
Drop rounded tablespoons of dough onto the prepared baking sheet and leave space between each.
Bake for 12-15 minutes or until lightly golden around the edges.
Cool on the baking sheet for 5 minutes before transferring to a wire rack.
